Rina started playing the piano at the age of four and studied with Takayuki Kuniya and Reiko Kanai.
From the age of sixteen she studied music theory with Yui Kakinuma and organ with Mamiko Iwasaki before moving to Amsterdam. She graduated from the International Christian University in Tokyo with a Bachelor of Arts Science, majoring in Musicology and Language Education. Until 2020, she was organist at St. Margaret’s High School and St. Margaret’s Church in Tokyo.
In 2024 she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Organ Trench at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where she studied with Pieter van Dijk. She is currently following the master’s program at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where she studies organ with Laurens de Man and piano lessons with Vital Stahievitch.
In 2024, Rina received the Second Prize (without First Prize) at the Orava Organ Prix International Competition in Slovakia. She is currently organist of the Old Catholic Church of St. Maria and Anna in Haarlem, the Netherlands.She has participated in organ masterclasses with Yuichiro Shiina, Leo van Doeselaar, Wolfgang Kogert, Maurizio Croci, Ben van Oosten and Bine Bryndorf, and in clavichord with Menno van Delft.

In het koor van de Laurenskerk bouwen we een pijporgel van de toekomst, dat digitaal te bespelen is: een ‘hyperorgel’. Zo wordt het orgel toegankelijker voor een brede groep musici.
