Old walls, new vibes

Dating back to the fifteenth century, the Laurenskerk is the oldest building in the center of Rotterdam and an iconic landmark of Rotterdam

During Museum Night, the Laurenskerk transforms into an atmospheric meeting place where the city of Rotterdam can be felt. In the monumental space, you will experience sound and visual elements made up of voices and city sounds, which mix with the architecture of the church and alternate between silence and dynamics.
Mark your calendar, drop by and experience an unforgettable evening full of culture and fun!

As you wander through the beautifully lit church, a layered experience unfolds in which heritage and contemporary culture come together. In addition to these temporary program components, you can also visit the permanent exhibition of the Laurenskerk, where you can learn more about the history of the building and its significance for the city.

For those who want to slow down, the Sacred Lounge is a quiet place to sit, listen and unwind in the middle of the night. If you want to experience Rotterdam from a different perspective, you can climb the tower and look out over the city that continues to move even at night. With performances, AV elements and various program components, the Laurenskerk offers a varied Museum Night experience, in which discovery, wandering and experiencing are central.
