Joël is organist of the Duinzichtkerk in The Hague and is one of the Academy organists of Leiden University
Joël Boone (2001) took organ lessons from a young age with Jan-Hans Mathlener in Yerseke. Since 2019 he has been studying Organ at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, first with Jos van der Kooy and from 2025 with Hayo Boerema. In 2024, he graduated cum laude for his bachelor’s degree with a recital at St. Bavo in Haarlem.
He took master classes with Léon Berben, Daan Manneke and Michel Bouvard, among others. In October 2022, Joël won the Improvisation Competition in Brielle. In addition to solo performances, he performs with singers, ensembles and choirs, including with his regular duo partner countertenor Erjan van der Velde.
Joël is organist of the Duinzichtkerk in The Hague and is one of the Academy organists of Leiden University.

Hyperorgel Rotterdam
In het koor van de Laurenskerk bouwen we een pijporgel van de toekomst, dat digitaal te bespelen is: een ‘hyperorgel’. Zo wordt het orgel toegankelijker voor een brede groep musici.
