Pianist Chaerin Im (Artist in Focus 2026) and organist Hayo Boerema will meet in the centuries-old Laurenskerk: a place where the monumental church organ sounds regularly and the space invites stillness, reflection, and wonder. The Laurenskerk forms the perfect backdrop for an alternative lunch experience.

In this unique acoustic encounter, Chaerin Im meets church organist Hayo Boerema at the historic Laurenskerk for a duo performance that strips away electronics and returns to the raw resonance of piano and organ.

Together, they explore an improvised set shaped around shared tonal centers, allowing the music to unfold freely in real time. Rather than fixed compositions, the performance moves as a continuous flow, where texture, resonance, and space become the guiding elements.

The result is an immersive and ambient experience, where the depth and grandeur of the church organ meets the subtle, shifting layers of the piano.
