This winter, Rotterdam is shining! From 12 December to 4 January, the Rotterdam Warm Winter Weeks provide light, warmth and cosiness in the heart of the city. Together we turn on the light – the Rotterdam way: tough, warm and full of energy. On Friday 12 December, the Warm Winter Parade with roller skaters, dancers, skaters, sound bikes and more, among others, will walk through a city bathed in light and ends at the Laurenskerk with enchanting light art by Marco Broeders (Co2RO) and Thijs Kelder (Studio Ruwedate).

Step into a magical world of light and wonder! Discover a world of moving colors, breathtaking light, graphic lines and sculptures that will keep you looking and arouse your curiosity. Projections, installations, stained glass play of colours and spatial shapes provide a total experience that briefly detaches you from everyday reality and effortlessly immerses you in a dreamy dimension. The perfect, festive setting for the closing party of the Rotterdam Warm Winter Parade.

A warm welcome in the afternoon with Dansmakers presents 360
In 360,  the space and form determines what you see. In 360 you decide what you look at. Who or what determines your place, your route?  Can you actually look objectively, move freely, or are you infinitely connected to each other? SKVR Dansmakers do not beat around the bush. We would like to invite you to our circle. SKVR Dansmakers has been a place for young Rotterdam dance talent for more than 13 years. We attach great importance to creativity, individuality and talent development. We perform at various locations in Rotterdam, with our three groups Dansmakers Small, Medium and Large aged 7 to 21.

The Rotter Wieler Bende comes in many shapes, colors but always on wheels and pops they can.  Bicycles and speakers were grown in workshops, garages or city gardens. From all corners of the city, the gang rolls its rolling beats into the city. Tribalismo in the concrete jungle, thinking of dub, they let the bass flow through the Maas. You may have come across them in the sun by the water or chopping under the Euromast… Then you already know: tie your shoelaces and shake what ya mama gave ya!

Wouter and Selin bring an enchanting fire performance in which innovative fire arts, geometric patterns and elegant ballet lines come together. Wouter specializes in fire illusions, while Selin transforms her classical ballet background into a graceful, powerful fire dance. In their solo moments, each shines with their own style, and then melts together in perfect harmony in a hypnotic duo act. Their performance grows to a fiery climax that leaves the audience breathless.

Breakdancer Menno van Gorp, spoken word poet Moze Naél, organist/composer Mathijs van der Wilt and improvisation artist Damaris join forces in an interdisciplinary showcase that takes the viewer on a poetic Rotterdam dream flight. In this unique collaboration, dance, music, word and song flow seamlessly into each other. The four performers explore the boundaries between their disciplines and together create a layered experience in which rhythm, emotion, imagination and the night are central.

AMPFEMININE is a Rotterdam-based DJ collective and platform that puts female and BIPOC artists front and center with genre-fluid, energetic club sounds. Founded in 2019 in response to the lack of diversity in the local scene, the collective focuses on bassy, percussive and experimental styles. With a commitment to collective empowerment, AMPFEMININE hosts events, workshops, and cultural collaborations that amplify underrepresented voices in electronic music. The current members are DEBORAH X, Bella Hall and Soft Break.

The Rotterdam Warm Winter Weeks is an initiative of Organisatie Rotterdam Centrum in collaboration with BIZ Rotterdam Central District and many entrepreneurs, residents, cultural and social organizations in the city. Thanks to the support of the Rotterdam city council, Rotterdam Festivals, Rotterdam Make it Happen (RMIH), Rotterdam City Heaters and many other Rotterdam doers. Rotterdammers make the city! RWWW is part of the Rotterdam festival agenda. For the complete overview, visit uitagenda.nl and for more information visit RWWW.nl.
