For more than twenty years, Hayo Boerema has been committed to making the organ accessible to a wide audience.
As an organist, teacher and composer, he is inspired by the richness and versatility of the instrument. In his interpretations, he consciously looks for contrast and extremes, both in the work of established masters and contemporary composers. In this way, he knows how to touch both the lover of the traditional repertoire and the adventurous listener.
His repertoire ranges from Sweelinck to contemporary music, with a particular predilection for Bach, Messiaen and French music from the twentieth century. In addition to his work as a soloist, Hayo regularly performs in collaboration with choirs and instrumental ensembles.

In het koor van de Laurenskerk bouwen we een pijporgel van de toekomst, dat digitaal te bespelen is: een ‘hyperorgel’. Zo wordt het orgel toegankelijker voor een brede groep musici.
